Chris O’Brien is an experienced and innovative builder. He has worked extensively in and around Cardiff, in particular the Pontcanna area of Cardiff. Having an eye for detail and spatial design is important when you need to maximise floor space especially when the space is limited, Chris has transformed many “Dead Spaces” that lay dark and dormant into spaces that radiate light and bring new energy into the property. Chris has a passion for the outdoors which inspired him to build an outdoor living space at his own home. His outdoor designs which incorporate Italian styled brick pizza ovens create an atmospheric space on a summers evening or an autumn night. Such was the success of this space that Chris has been commissioned to build several more for friends and clients in spaces that would otherwise not be used in the garden due to lack of sunlight. Chris is the Construction Director at Jools O’Brien; his expertise will be utilised to take clients from the planning stage to completion.

Julie Nobes has been involved in property development, renovation and design for over thirty years. Alongside her Facilities Management company that she owned and directed, she developed a property investment business. As Owner/Director of a facilities company Julie was involved in Operations and Project management and oversaw the timely completion of Universities, Hospitals and commercial office blocks. She is well known in Cardiff for her attention to detail, excellent customer service and her ability to deliver on time and on budget. Julie has a love of architecture in particular the restoration of older buildings. She has a passion for light, space and colour and enjoys making each space in the home work for its occupants. Julie’s forte is blending the old and new. She believes that old pieces of furniture give a room depth and character, “they create a focal point and an opportunity for conversation”.
